Just FYI I guess.Īt any rate, the update (to 20H2) is running and I ended up getting rid of files I didn't need in cleaning out my PC of old programs and troubleshooting. I also uninstalled Office - but I don't think Office was really the reason. I just deleted the files in that folder and there's more you can do to remove the files (like ). ![]() ![]() The latter was from LDPlayer, or an Android emulator as others have listed being a problem. The script kills the VirtualBox process, which is perfectly safe. I solved this by creating a task in task manager that runs a script on shutdown. Id like to share my solution here, using BlueStacks as just an example. Strangely, it was both Office, and then Virtualbox files in C:\Program Files\dnplayerext2. LDPlayer is the lightest android emulator for PC, I'll suggest everyone to use this as an emulator on a low spec device. Windows did not shut down (or took a long time to do so) because VirtualBox still has active connections. You'll be able to find file paths of things that are blocking or conflicting with the update process. I went to and then searched for each "LowerCaseLongPathUnexpanded" in the most recent _APPRAISER_HumanReadable.xml file. Simply continue by pressing the Enter key. If you are not familiar, then keep the default configuration, select the Next button. I guess for others to know - Thanks! This helped. To uninstall VirtualBox completely, run the following two commands: apt-get purge virtualbox apt-get autoremove.
