5/28/2023 0 Comments Scourge of the betrayer![]() ![]() He could have walked in, read one line, and I would have called off the auditions. Ten or 15 years ago, Daniel Day Lewis would have been absolutely perfect. He is also a haunted man, in more ways than one. I won't run through the entire cast, but here are some of the major players:Ĭaptain Braylar Killcoin: The man is lean, cold, calculating, with a biting sense of humor, and yet somehow still sympathetic. Time I should have spent writing, especially since even if a studio purchased the rights the movie would probably get shelved indefinitely, or if it did make it out there, Justin Bieber would get cast as Braylar. Like many writers, I've fantasized about what it would be like if someone turned my book into a film, so I've spent some time (OK, an inordinate amount of time) dreaming up the ideal cast for that adaptation. Here he dreamcasts a big-screen adaptation of the book: Jeff Salyards's debut hard-boiled fantasy novel, Scourge of the Betrayer, is now out from Night Shade Books. ![]()

However, there is nothing that resembles man's reason, even poorly. ![]() Animals resemble man in every other aspect a dog or a bird might have a skeleton that in someway resembles the skeleton of a man, for example. This is obvious from the fact that there is no parallel in nature. ![]() While man's body may indeed be the product of such a process, his reason is patently not. Though the theory of evolution in its entirety is not contested in this book, many of its proponents suppose that it proves that every aspect of man, including his rational nature, is subject to the same laws of gradual development. The second fact is that the Christian religion is unique in its ability to satisfy man's yearnings by revealing God to man in a way that would otherwise be impossible. On account of this rational nature, man naturally wants to know God, whose existence he can only vaguely grasp through the various mythologies and philosophies he creates. ![]() The first of these facts is that man, though certainly an animal, is distinguished from all other animals by his possession of reason. The history of the world highlights two major facts, both of which contradict the anti-religious and even anti-human theories that have become fashionable in academic circles. ![]() 5/28/2023 0 Comments Roger mcnamee zucked![]() ![]() McNamee, who may be most familiar to Relix readers through his role as the frontman of Moonalice and Doobie Decibel System, had first encountered Sandberg via a music project. ![]() I was a fan of Facebook… Mentoring is fun for me, and Zuck could not have been a better mentee.”ĭuring this era, McNamee even recommended Sheryl Sandberg for the position of Facebook’s chief operating officer. It was her first children’s book and it gained such popularity that several sequels about David and his adventures on the Mushroom Planet ensued. This was the world in which Cameron’s eight-year-old son lived in the early 1950’s when he asked his mother to write a space story with himself as the main character.
